DODGE TOMAHAWK: The Viper-powered Dodge Tomahawk concept vehicle shatters all the barriers of conventional thinking about personal transportation. This four-wheel, single-passenger vehicle is a sleek, rolling sculpture that combines art-deco styling with extreme engineering.

The 500-horsepower Viper V-10 engine powering the dual rear wheels gives this radical vehicle a potential top speed of nearly 400 miles per hour - for anyone who wants to test it. The Tomahawk roared into public view at the North American International Auto Show.

"The Dodge brand philosophy always challenges us to grab life by the horns," said Trevor Creed, Senior Vice President - Design, Chrysler Group. "In the case of Tomahawk, grabbing and holding onto anything for dear life is a necessity. It's just that extreme and passionate; a glimpse into the soul and commitment of true enthusiasts."
Initial reaction to the concept vehicle typically comes in two words: "Wow" and "why."
The "wow" is easy to understand from Dodge, the brand that continues to drive its foot to the floor - most recently with the all-new Viper, Heavy Duty and Light Duty Rams and an SRT lineup dedicated to engineering the most powerful production vehicles in their segments.
But "why" would a company, famous for its innovative car and truck designs, go down this particular path?
"Tomahawk is an icon of the extreme thinking for a brand that is known not only for the legendary Viper and Ram, but also for all new, innovative vehicles such as the Magnum SRT-8 and Durango concepts," said Creed.
That extreme thinking produced a machine in the true tradition of power-junkie passion, powered by a 505 cu. in., 8300 cc aluminum Viper V-10 engine.
"This is a bold faced slap against mediocrity," Creed said. "Tomahawk is a scintillating example of what creative minds can do when given the opportunity to run free. It is a pure mechanical sculpture and a joyous celebration of the artistry and emotion of design."
The Dodge Tomahawk is a Chrysler Group design concept that is as much a Viper-powered work of art as it is a whole new type of vehicle invention. It is both a sculpture that can be ridden, as well as a bold statement about the Chrysler Group's enthusiast culture and passion for design.
"Tomahawk moves design concept introductions and the concept car game to a whole new level - as only Dodge and the Chrysler Group can," said Creed.

DODGE HEMI SUPER 8: The Dodge Super8 Hemi is another of DaimlerChrysler Passenger Priority designs. Design of the Super8 HEMI is influenced by previous Dodge trucks and SUV'S, giving it a tall stance that enhances driver visibility, passenger comfort, interior space and eases entry and exit for both driver and passengers.

Inside the Dodge Super8 Hemi Passenger Priority design utilizes panoramic seating for driver and passengers, allowing for higher seating to give them more of an in-control feeling compared to other sedans. In fact, the rear passengers sit higher than the front passengers, creating an automotive form of cinema seating.

DODGE M80: With an almost Tonka Truck-like appearance the Dodge M80 concept was quite an attractive, if somewhat toy-like, pick up.

The Dodge M80 was designed to look like a truly All-American pick up truck. Complete with prominent flared wheel arches, imposing grille, and exaggerated styling details all recalling Dodge pickups of the past.

Dodge Demon: If the Dodge Demon were to enter production it would; firstly, almost certainly end any chance of the considerably more attractive Dodge Razor concept going production, and secondly, enter into a popular market which is rapidly gaining competitors. Probably its biggest selling point, depending on engine options, would be the fact that the Demon roadster concept displays more masculine, and controversial, styling than its rivals, the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Mazda MX-5.
Inside the Demon is similar to most other roadsters, simple and efficient, "In the manner of timeless British sports cars, the interior of the Dodge Demon is purposely functional, not frivolous," said Dan Zimmermann – Dodge Demon Principal Interior Designer. "Everything relating to the driving experience is emphasized, while that which is not is made visually secondary."
Power for the Dodge Demon concept comes from a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder developing 172 horsepower running through a six-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. However if Dodge wanted to there is the possibility of incorporating a seriously impressive 300 hp 2.4 litre turbocharged engine into the Demon. Were this to happen it would almost certainly start a horsepower war amongst the roadster collective

Dodge Hornet: The Aggressive styling of the Dodge Hornet is something the design team set out to achieve.
"We wanted the Hornet to be dynamic, nimble, fun to drive, and have an adaptable space-efficient interior," said Mark Moushegian, principal exterior designer. "At the same time we set out to create a vehicle with a uniquely American character to expand the image and presence of the Dodge brand in Europe and international markets, especially in the entry-level market."
"We went for a rallye-inspired look-robust, capable, and most definitely not 'cutesy.' We wanted a distinct 'edge' to the design. We especially wanted to push the envelope of interior volume. That's why the Hornet is almost as wide as a C-segment vehicle,"
Powered by a 1.6 litre, supercharged 4 cylinder engine developing 170 horsepower connected to a six-speed manual gearbox, the Hornet's straight line performance should match the looks, however it remains to be seen if the chassis can live up to the challenge.
As an interesting design feature, the tinted blue glass is an optional color choice. When ordering the buyer can specify a color to match, or contrast with the paintwork, a nice idea, but may run into problems with country specific regulations.
Although the Dodge Hornet is currently just a concept, the idea of developing a B-segment auto for the US and European markets is something Dodge is keen to do, and the Hornet's a good looking start.

Dodge Maxxcab: The Dodge Maxxcab is billed as a 'passenger priority truck'.
The Dodge Maxxcab has room for five adult passengers to travel in comfort. The Maxxcab does this by extending the cab backwards, and giving back seat passengers two full size doors. The bed of the Maxxcab concept is shorter than a standard size pickup as a result of the longer cab.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dodge Rampage: The Dodge Rampage concept truck debuted at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show was designed for the family, not the workyard, sensible considering the number of trucks used for hauling people not cargo.
The Dodge 'Passenger Priority' thinking used on the Rampage has resulted in an extremely versatile seating and load bay layout. The Dodge Rampage concept can accommodate up to 5 people, or as little as 1, with loads of cargo space. This has been achieved by making all the passenger seats capable of folding flat into the floor with a system Dodge calls Sto-N-Go. And by allowing the rear wall of the cabin to fold away, the short box becomes a full size cargo bay.
Other innovations of the Dodge Rampage include:
- Rear sliding doors
- Ramp concealed in the tailgate
- 8 foot storage compartment under the main cargo box (seats up)
- Fold down step when the door is opened

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chrysler ME412: The ME412 was Chryslers first attempt at a genuine supercar. The prototype ME412 held an 850 horsepower quad turbo V12 engine mated to a 7-speed Ricardo Double Clutch Transmission developed specifically for the ME412 and featured the latest double wet-clutch technology and electronic control strategy. The exclusive transmission delivers uninterrupted torque to the rear wheels with 200 millisecond shift times.
With the potent powerplant and sharp futuristic styling the Chrysler ME412 stole the show at the 2004 Detroit auto show.
Despite the ridiculously high performance figures the ME four-twelve does not forget comfort, and the interior is adorned with soft leather and suede with some exposed metal and carbon fibre for that high-tech, high performance feel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeep Hurricane: The Jeep Hurricane raised the bar for off-road concepts at the 2005 North American International Auto Show.
The Hurricane has a unique 4 wheel steering system allowing it to turn literally on the spot, and with two 5.7 litre HEMI V8s providing a total of 670 horsepower it also has supercar acceleration.
For 4x4 adventure the Hurricane has impressive approach and departure angles 64 / 86.7 , and enourmous wheels with 37 inch tall tires.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeep Gladiator: The Jeep Gladiator has the looks of an elongated Jeep Wrangler with a pick up bed. The Gladiator has the traditional Jeep outdoor, off road features such as open-air canvas roof, removable doors and a fold-down windshield.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeep Willys 2: The Jeep Willys 2 is a somewhat retrospective design with influences from the original WW2 Jeep, even down to the action green metallic paint. The Willys 2 is an honest retro wtih modern technology, the carbon fibre hard top supports a roof rack with a full-size spare holder and luggage rack.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeep Treo: The Jeep Treo (Treo meaning three in several different languages) is a 3 seater 2+1 configuration city/off-road vehicle. The fuel cell powered Treo has the classic Jeep front end with a seven slot grille flanked by two large round headlights.
The Jeep Treo's body is unusual in that it gets thinner towards the rear. On either side of the Treo's narrow tail section two spars jut out from the body work and act simultaneously as rear lights, cooling vents for the fuel cell and electric motors and mounting points for two Jeep Rubicon mountain bikes. Part of the design influence for the Treo comes from the Japanese cartoon animation form of 'anime'.
